NOVEMBER 2005

Dear Friends and Co-laborers in Missions,

“Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

I’m happy to report that we had a wonderful banquet and board meeting in Cape May , New Jersey this past month. Although we felt a real void with the absence of Dr. Robert Rapp, who was unable to attend due to a medical procedure for his heart, we were once again encouraged by the reports from our mission fields. If you would like up to date information on any of our fields, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

As you may know, Dr. Rapp is a founding member of Westminster Biblical Missions and has faithfully served for over thirty years with WBM in South Korea and now in Central and Eastern Europe . This was his first absence at a board meeting in 33 years! Please pray for our dear brother’s full recovery.

Now with heavy heart I must report the passing from this life of Rev. Alexander David early Sunday morning, November 6. Though his family and our sorrow is great, for we will surely miss him, his joy is full as he now resides in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Saviour he so faithfully served for nearly fifty two years. He served for over forty years in the Christian ministry in his native Pakistan before coming to the United States . As well as a gifted preacher and teacher of theology, he was the beloved pastor of Village 174 the last ten years of his ministry until his retirement. He served the last fifteen years of his life as a missionary under the board of Westminster Biblical Missions overseeing a ministry in the rural villages of Pakistan which he founded. Even during his retirement, Rev. David continued to translate Christian literature into the Urdu language of Pakistan . Truly he is one of whom our Lord will testify on that great Day,

“Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.” (Matthew 25:21)

Thank beloved friends for helping us in the work of missions with your prayers and gifts. May the Lord bless you and keep you.

In Christ’s Service and Yours,
Dennis E. Roe, General Secretary

“Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor. For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building.” (1 Cor. 3:8-9)
