Dear Partners in Missions,

Greetings in the name of God our Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ “. . . who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.” (Eph. 1:3b)

Photo: Doors & windows for Muridke Clinic

We at Westminster Biblical Missions would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the many gracious people and congregations across the United States who have extended a warm welcome to Rev. Emmanuel Gill to speak to them. We hope you also had the opportunity to view the DVD video presentation of the Lord’s work in Pakistan. It is our prayer that you sense an even greater burden for promoting the gospel in that land. Please continue to pray for God’s blessing on Rev. Gill’s ministry and family. He plans to travel home to Pakistan at the end of August to resume his service there.

Rev. Gill reported that is was a great joy to him to meet many of you “face to face” and that he will carry the remembrance of you in his heart as he returns to his country.

We are very grateful for your faithful prayers and generous contributions offered to God in behalf of our labors in Pakistan. Thank you for joining with us in seeing lives changed and added to the kingdom of God as we minister in Christ’s name both in Word and deed.

The Lord moves His people to help provide electric generators during power outage

Calvin’s Academy #1, the Presbyterian Seminary and Medical Clinic #1 depend upon electric power to obtain water, air conditioning in the 100+ degree summer temperatures, as well refrigeration for the medical supplies and food storage. Immediately after the power outage, Rev. Din searched for an electric generator (which are very hard to find) to remedy the emergency. He found a generator with a quality British built engine for $2,000. Supporters of the work in Pakistan were asked to pray and give financial support to obtain the electric generator. Providentially, the people of God responded in time, and with sufficient funds to buy not only one electric generator, but enough to buy two generators.

Photo: Rev. Din with new generator

Muridke Medical Clinic #2 Construction is Progressing Well

The original estimate to build the Muridke Medical Clinic #2 was approximately $60,000 (USD). The contributions to continue the work are being supplied. Recently $5,000 has been given, but approximately $20,000 is needed to complete the construction. The monsoon rains will be arriving in a few months, so the construction needs to be mostly completed by the projected date of October 1, 2007. Please pray that the Lord will supply all the necessary funds to come in before the rainy season.

Additional Classrooms Urgently Needed at Calvin’s Academy #1

Calvin’s Academy #1 is experiencing over-crowded conditions. Some classrooms have over one hundred students. At least four additional classrooms are needed as soon as possible. The estimated cost of building one classroom is approximately $6,000. In order to fulfill the need for additional classroom space, Calvin’s Academy #1 must raise approximately $24,000. Please pray the Lord will soon supply the necessary funds to meet the growing needs of educating the Pakistani children. Near Rev. Emmanuel Gill’s congregation is Calvin’s Academy #2. The classrooms at this academy are being remodeled. Estimates are being made for the costs of this refurbishing. New classrooms will also need to be built to meet the needs of Calvin’s Academy #2.

The Pakistani people are faced with a 15% rise in inflation

The budget for the work in Pakistan covers all the expenses associated with the ongoing ministry of the gospel which includes the salary for five seminary professors (including Rev. Din), stipends and food for the four seminary students, all the teachers and staff at Calvin Academies #1 & #3, the administration of the 35 Bible literacy centers, the administration of Medical Clinic #1, as well as all the support personnel involved. Recently, the government has passed an across the board increase of 15% for all its workers. Our workers there must compete with this in the market place. Plus there is the inflation factor on top of this. Because of the fiscal burdens placed upon our laborers on the field in Pakistan, Westminster Biblical Missions deems it necessary to raise the monthly budget across the board by 20%. We humbly ask you to please take into account this increase in your giving, if you are able.

Bible Literacy Center Needs Bibles

The Bible Literacy Centers could use at least 200 more Bibles. These can be purchased at approximately $2.00 each. This is a yearly need and is a great project for Sunday School classes.

The Summer Retreat in Murree Hills is Cancelled

Each year the pastors and congregations of the Bible-Believing Church Council, Lahore organizes a five-day conference for the spiritual edification for the people. Approximately 2,000 people join in a time of Bible study and praise to the Lord Jesus. This year the summer retreat in Murree Hills is cancelled due to concern over the civil unrest. Please pray that the Lord will encourage the hearts of those who looked forward to this time of blessing and who now will not be able to attend.

New DVD Available

We recently produced a new DVD presentation, approximately 20 minutes in length, detailing WBM’s ministry to Pakistan. If you would like a copy of our new DVD on WBM’s ministry in Pakistan, please let us know and we will gladly send you a copy.

Fall Banquet Oct. 12 in the St. Louis area

We are happy to announce, and to invite those of you in the St. Louis area, to WBM’s fall banquet being held on Friday evening, October 12 beginning at 6:00 p.m. It is being hosted by friends at Twin Oaks Presbyterian Church which meets at 1230 Big Bend Rd., Twin Oaks, MO.

Thank you for being co-workers with us in the land of Pakistan. Please pray for the salvation of many souls through faith in Jesus Christ and for us to continue give help in His name to the people of Pakistan. “Unto God be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.” (Eph. 3:21)

In Christ’s Service and Yours,
Dennis E. Roe, Interim Field Chairman
Jonathan Merica, Assistant

Dear Co-laborers in Missions,

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is our only comfort and peace. May the grace of our Lord be with you.

Introducing Rev. Jonathan Merica

As the Lord blesses and increases the ministry of the gospel in Pakistan, so also He has been pleased to raise up a new laborer with WBM. Allow me to introduce Rev. Jonathan Merica, a missionary pastor of Calvary Reformed Chapel in Stockton, CA, and Associate Pastor of Covenant Reformed Church at Grass Valley, CA. Rev. Merica was appointed by WBM’s board as an assistant to your servant and is working with WBM to help in communicating news reports on the work in Pakistan. He has been keeping informed about what the Lord is doing in Pakistan and will be working directly on raising awareness of the growing needs of our missionary outreach in Pakistan, and among Presbyterian and Reformed congregations in the United States and Canada. Through these efforts we desire God’s blessing to provide financial resources to meet the growing needs of Westminster Biblical Missions to Pakistan. Please pray that many new contacts will be made in the months ahead which will produce increased financial support. We need many more Reformed Christians and churches to get involved in advancing the Christian faith in Pakistan. (more…)

Dear Co-Laborers in Missions:
Great news! The Lord provided for Rev. Emmanuel Gill to receive his visa from the U.S. Embassy. He is now waiting the confirmation for his plane tickets which we should have shortly.
He is hoping to arrive on the west coast the end of next week. He is booked on a June 10 flight. He plans to stay until the end of August. I will arrange for him to speak on west coast first and then set up his itinerary for the mid-west and east coast.
Please contact me as soon as possible if you would like to have Rev. Gill speak to your church or missions’ group.
In Christ’s Service,
